On Thursday, April 18, the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division will hold an open house at the Barkley well pad near Platteville in Weld County. This open house is intended to give interested parties a first-hand look at what Division inspectors are looking for when performing onsite inspections of atmospheric condensate storage tank facilities. Division personnel will be at the site to answer questions and give an overview of inspection practices from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 18. Sample inspection tours will begin at the top of each hour (9 a.m., 10 a.m., etc...).
The Barkley 16N HZ well pad is located near Highway 85 and County Road 30, southeast of Platteville Colorado. Directions to the facility: From Highway 85 take County Road 30 east for 2.5 miles to County Road 31, turn right (south) on County Road 31 for ½ of a mile, turn right (west) and you will have arrived at the site.
What to Bring
The following personal protective equipment is required on site at all times:
- Hard hat
- Long sleeve cotton shirt with a collar
- FRC is also acceptable
- Safety Glasses
